Now that Grandmaster is done, we’re thrilled to share that we’re already deep into development on a leatherbound deluxe omnibus of Arrows of the Queen, Arrow’s Flight, and Arrow’s Fall.

This 700-page volume includes 8 color pages with new paintings from Nene Thomas, Rob Carlos, Dasha Park, and many more artists, as well as painstakingly-edited text that our team of fan researchers spent months working on. This will be the definitive edition of the original Valdemar trilogy and we have so many cool details from the book to share with you over the next few months.

As a bonus for Misty’s biggest fans, we’re also piloting a new program with BackerKit: pre-launch reservations. Basically, a $5 reservation now gets you the Deluxe Heralds volume for $100, instead of the $125 campaign price, along with some fun digital bonuses that you can download right now.

This is more of a teaser than anything, but it began with us asking ourselves “How could we improve on fan scholarships, creative collaborations, Patreon-style monthly subscriptions, and Q&As with Misty?”

The upshot is that we’re weeks away from launching an all-new website for Misty, as well as a community platform that’s powered by what we’re calling a “solidarity engine.” Inspired by how fan scholarships on Grandmaster put hundreds of books into the hands of fans who couldn’t afford them, as well as the care and labor that wiki editors, fan fiction writers, fan artists, and community moderators have put into making this one of the best communities on the internet, this new model is designed from the ground up to help us support each other in whatever ways work best. For some that means financial support, for others it means time, and for others, it means recognizing that it’s a joy for us to support you.
